The Alliance has three main areas of focus:
1) Providing affordable collaborative co-working, studio and classroom/workshop spaces for Alliance members (new and emerging artists, creative thinkers, entrepreneurs and innovators)
2) Providing teaching and knowledge sharing opportunities that offer a fair wage for Alliance members/partners and subject matter experts (new and emerging artists, creative thinkers, entrepreneurs and innovators) in the community
3) Facilitating community-based entrepreneurship and creative workshops targeted to underserved and disadvantaged residents within Chatham County. The goal being to advance their education and careers, and ultimately build self-sustaining lives
Workshops utilize The Partnership for 21st Century Learning (P21) framework’s 4Cs (Critical Thinking, Communication, Collaboration, and Creativity) These four skills rank in the top five on World Economic Forum’s top ten list of "skills workers will need most in the year 2020 and beyond."
Workshops and classes are intended as a "pathway to purpose" for underserved, rural students demonstrating that creative problem solving and critical thinking are a bridge to economic independence and self-sufficiency.
Topics include: creative entrepreneurship, critical thinking, creative problem solving, design and storytelling.
